YetepAfter 10 years of lighting up the dance floor, Major Lazer puts out a nostalgic and historically impactful 25-track album containing all of their biggest from their past decade of dominance. The 3 artists, headlined by Diplo are not expected make any more music following this release as stated in an interview with Complex. However, we do get their newest single “Blow That Smoke” with popular singer Tove Lo, which introduces the compilation perfectly. Song from 2009 up to this year are featured; check it out below!
It is not an easy task pointing out the best releases; Major Lazer Essentials has “Pon De Floor” from 2009, Flosstradamus‘ remix of “Original Don,” “Be Together,” and so many more that are instantly recognizable. What is truly staggering is its longevity, having been able to release newer songs that are just as good as when they first started. The end to this monster project is not official yet, so dive back into some of the most influential music the past 10 years has to offer!
