YetepAfter billboards and graffiti rose up possibly suggesting a return from the French phenom, Columbia Records recently announced they have signed the talented artist. However, little context is given to his signing, and no official indication has been made to what he may be up to. Gesaffelstein first burst onto the scene in 2013 with his debut album Aleph, and solidified his position as a producer with works on Kanye’s Yeezuz.

Post success, he had worked on My Dear Melancholy with The Weeknd, and produced the background music for the Maryland film. Coachella 2015 marked Gesaffelstein’s final live performance and dance music has been missing a vital contributor ever since. His dark style may have sparked many similar artists taking stages today, so if he hits us with new music, you will feel it. Keep your eyes peeled for Gesaffelstein, the legend is back.
