12 Days of GRiZMAS

Falalala la la la let’s get funky! The fifth annual GRiZmas is upon us and we are busting at the seems with excitement. Him, his Saxaphone and the shows are sweet but you know what’s even sweeter? The fact that all the proceeds are going to charity.

Music saved his life, but Detroit built him. Now GRiZ is doing all he can to give back to his community by helping to develop a support network for creative kids in a city ripe for artistic renaissance. By turning the benefit of this cause towards fostering the spirit of Detroit, GRiZ continues to set the intention towards further development in his own backyard. Growing up learning music within the progressive container of Detroit’s music scene changed his life, so as a continuation of his roots, he is now working to help kids in the city flourish as he did. 100% of the proceeds from every charitable GRiZMAS event go toward increasing access to music education in Detroit’s public schools.

It doesn’t get much better than this. It kicked off yesterday, December 4th, with a GRiZtacular  pop-up shop and ending with not one but two live shows. This is about as holly jolly as it gets. Whether your cracking his latest bangers, “It Gets Better” ft. DRAM  or “Can’t Get Enough” or jetting out to Detroit to partake in the festivities, I think we can all agree  GRiZ is giving us the gifts of all gifts this holiday season.

Day 7) Monday 12/10 – Local Mic Night (Detroit Institute of Music Education)
Day 8 Tuesday 12/11 – Future Roller Disco: GRIZMAS 3018 (BonAventure)
Day 9) Wednesday 12/12 – Assemble U: GRIZMAS Edition (Assemble Sound)
Day 10) Thursday 12/13 – Night Before GRIZMAS – (Mad Liberation set at Deluxx Fluxx)
Day 11) Friday 12/14 – GRIZMAS Night 1 – GRiZ Live Band (Masonic Temple)
Day 12) Saturday 12/15 – GRIZMAS Night 2 – GRiZ (Masonic Temple)
Day 13) Sunday 12/16 – Final Day at Holiday Pop-Up Shop (open one extra day this year)
