YetepLICK has been a nonstop force this year. He’s been touring with Zeds Dead on their Deadbeats tour, dropped his EP Revolt, and released a slew of remixes along the way, his latest being a dark edit of Virtual Self‘s “Angel Voices.” LICK adds a sinister, bass-filled drop that casts an intense yet vibey layer over the ethereal sounds of the original track from Porter Robinson’s alter ego.
Angel Voices is already an alternative take on the original “Ghost Voices” tune that was released just over a year ago. The Virtual Self project has been met with much praise–he’s even been nominated for a Grammy this year! Check out LICK’s unique take below.
This is just one of many hits that have received a LICK twist. His staple sound also came through in his recent edit of Illenium’s “Needed You,” and official remix of Zed’s Dead & Jauz’s “Lights Go Down.”
Lucky for us, LICK has a sequel EP projected early next year on the Deadbeats label, and the artist has recently joined the United Talent Agency roster assuring his expanding fan base a live taste of these profound dark vibes come 2019.
