QUIX Rips The Guitar and More on ‘Illusions EP’

Famed bass producer QUIX is much more than already meets the eye, the artist is currently showcasing some unbelievable talent on his new EP dubbed Illusions. The New Zealand native displays his depth and versatility with tracks varying from nasty trap to some of the best future bass music we have heard as of late, and amidst of it all he is recording his own instrumentation with some of the top professionals available.

The six track project holds features from some of the most beautiful voices and features in the game, seeing action from Jaden Michaels, David Shane, Reigan, Aviella, and Bok Nero. “Get Down” has the artist on the keys, before dropping into growling heat, making for a rich intro. “Ride Or Die” with Reigan is an absolute standout, with Quix himself shredding guitar to one of his most complete tracks to date, regardless of genre. His experience on this one specifically hit home, and allowed him to “witness firsthand writing a song in a session with the most talented writers”, according to him on his Soundcloud.

He also teams up with Vincent and Shane for “Hero” which is hits hardest of the collection. He also mentioned this track was originally made as a remix, but thanks to the help of some Ekali live performances, the song was finished in great fashion for the EP. You can always count on Quix bring to the bass, but the emotion and feel throughout Illusions has his latest music slapping hard. “Giving Up”, “Earthquake”, and “All I Have” truly embody his sound entirely while still branching out and expanding the artist’s reach.

Up next up is a tour for the EP, which starts up for him on November 15th in Washington D.C, and ends in Wellington, New Zealand on March 23rd. A full set of tour dates can be found here. Huge ups to this man, these new songs are going to be timeless.
