Caroline Cecil, or as her fans know her, Whipped Cream, broke into the scene in 2016 and has been taking the industry by storm ever since. Her translucent style of dark hip-hop influenced bass music is a truly unique aural experience unlike anything else we’ve seen from bass producers before. Take a listen to her latest track “You Wanted It” below.
Vancouver based Whipped Cream’s hard work has not gone unnoticed either. She was featured as the #2 Female DJ on Noiseporn’s Top Five Female Producers You Should Know list in 2016 and on NEST HQ’s Best to Watch of 2017. Whipped Cream has been recognized by Skrillex numerous times and even released her latest EP, Persistence, on Skrillex’s label Nest. It’s incredible to see the monumental accomplishments Cecil’s achieved in her few short years as being a DJ, and it’s going to be electrifying to see what her future will bring.
When she’s not producing dystopian, seismic bass music, you can catch Whipped Cream taking over stages all over the world. Whipped Cream has already brought the bass to Hard Summer, Shambhala, and Life in Color, along with multiple supporting sets for some of the largest artists in the industry. This year she already booked a ton of gigantic shows like Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, Buku, and Arizona’s own Phoenix Lights.
You’ll have a chance to witness Whipped Cream alongside Excision, Malaa, and Griz at Phoenix Lights on April 5th and 6th. Grab tickets here.
