YetepFor this week’s DJ to Watch, we’re heading down unda’ to explore all that Wongo has to offer us. This Australian DJ and producer has successfully infiltrated the American scene within the last few years, starting with a U.S. tour in 2017. Since then, he has already gained support from the likes of Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Billy Kenny, and Martin Solveig just to name a few.
Wongo joins the ranks of Justin Martin, Billy Kenny, Martin Solveig, Riva Starr, Joris Voorn, Golf Clap, and Rudimental on the Box of Cats Label, where he’s written tracks alongside the talents of Billy Kenny, Bot, Sinden, and Jace Mek.
Known for his tunes and quirky stage presence (including unrobing during live sets), Wongo is also a five-time breakdancing champion in his home country. He’s also notorious for locking himself in the studio, instead of a nightclub, conjuring up a bit of a hermit reputation.
Be sure to catch Wongo as he takes the stage alongside Claude VonStroke, Malaa, Lane 8, and more at this year’s Phoenix Lights. Click here to purchase tickets and get all the info you need.
