YetepRight around Halloween last year Tails and Inverness dropped the perfect spooky bop. “Skeleton” avoided the dark, haunted cliche that’s tempting for Halloween tracks. Instead, Tails and Inverness infused Nevve‘s ethereal and angelic voice with robust sounds that almost mimicked the effect of a skeleton dancing for a truly unique Halloween-love song hybrid. Halloween has come and gone, but the tracks still slaps, and now there are three new ways to experience the original with remixes from ATLAST, FreeFall, and So Sus.
LA-based producer ATLAST’s darker midtempo take features ominous tones and heavy womps that contrast with the sweetness of Nevve’s voice. So Sus’ trap heater opens with twinkling synths but leads into a really fun banger. Finally, the remix from FreeFall takes “Skeleton” into the land of funky house music for an almost unrecognizable but groovy beat. Don’t feel pressured to pick a favorite – they’re all unique and perfect to dance to, including the original. If you’d like to hear “Skeleton” live, you’ll definitely want to be at Wet Electric on Saturday, April 27 to see Tails perform. Get your tickets now.
