YetepIt’s not very often you see a Hardcore DJ on a Relentless Beats lineup. This year’s Goldrush Festival changes that. For this week’s DJ to Watch, let’s get to know the cowboy king of Hardcore, Lil Texas, who will be taking the stage this September for the 3rd annual festival.
Lil Texas has been in the EDM scene for quite a few years now, but he introduced his fanbase to Hardcore just last year with his original single, “I Am Excited.” His transition has been met with immense success, achieving support from the likes of Virtual Self, Kill the Noise, Pendulum, and more.
While his roots are embedded in jazz and classical music, Lil Texas shifted from being a band member to creating his own solo identity, inspiring many others to explore the realms of the American Hardcore genre.
With a resting tempo of around 200 BPM, Lil Texas rules the Hardcore scene, and he’s amassed a huge following with appearances at Basscon: Wasteland and EDC Las Vegas and supporting artists on tour like Gammer, Junkie Kid, and more.
Now that you you’re a little more familiar with Lil Texas, don’t miss his Wild Wild West debut at Goldrush on September 27th and 28th. Click here to purchase tickets.
“If you’re ostracized, if you’re fucked with, if you’re the black sheep in the EDM community or your dance friends think you’re weird for liking hardstyle or hardcore, I’m there for you.” – Lil Texas
