YetepOlle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom, better known as Swedish DJ duo Dada Life, have been in the EDM world since 2006, and at this point, you could consider them your dance music dads. Their humor and avant-garde behavior on stage comes from the art movement Dadaism from the early 20th century, but they’re serious when it comes to their music. They’ve celebrated success on the Belgium and Netherland charts as well as the Billboard 200, and this success has brought them a family of fans. A concept under Dada Life called Dada Land declares on their Facebook page, “Get ready to arrive beautiful and leave ugly. There are no rules but the rules of Dada. Don’t look back in the past. Always go forward. And whatever you do: don’t trust us.” Dada Life is wild for sure, and their podcast Dada Life: The Podcast is featured for this week’s Radio Recap.
The big room/progressive house producers feature artists like Valentino Khan, Lost Frequencies, Don Diablo, and more on the recently released June episode. Dada Life: The Podcast releases one epic podcast every month, and features new and interest-sparking music that you might find in Dada Land or in a Dada Life live set. If you want to catch a set like this after hearing the podcast, make sure to see Dada Life at BLK Live in Scottsdale on August 31, get your tickets now.
