YetepThijs Westbroek, better known as Brooks, has been producing music since 2013. In that time, he’s given us many classic tracks. From his collaborations with Martin Garrix to his solo endeavors, Brooks has built an impressive library throughout the years. Of course, his latest song, “Waiting For Love” featuring Alida is no exception; rather, it’s a shining example of what sets him apart.
Within the first few seconds of the song, the listener is greeted by a beautifully processed vocal while a catchy bassline begins beneath it. Then, as the drums pick up the pace, one can’t help but begin to move around. Next, with a break in the drums, the careful yet cunning Brooks introduces his signature squeaky-clean synth. Add a quick build-up and the rest is history: Brooks has done it again.
Brooks – Waiting For Love (feat. Alida) (Official Video)
With a powerful kick drum, vibrant bass, and a sensational synth on top, the drop of “Waiting For Love” beckons us to hit the dancefloor. As if those energetic elements weren’t enough, Brooks has a little fun with it, as he mixes in an electronic piano fill, higher synths on top, and—of course—the masterfully crafted vocal.
Like what you hear? Don’t miss Brooks, Sam Feldt, and Showtek when they bring this irresistible energy to Wicked Ball at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale on Saturday, October 26. Grab your tickets today!
