YetepCRAY, short for Cheney Ray, is an LA-based DJ, singer, and producer who’s been spicing up the scene since 2015. Her rise to fame went fast-track when she performed as an opener on Anna Lunoe’s HyperHouse Tour in 2016, leading to many festival appearances here in the States and eventually going global when she toured through Japan alongside Skrillex and then did her OWN short tour in China.
It’s obvious she’s had a busy few years, so she’s way too busy to talk about things like love. Especially love portrayed through social media, thus her new track, “idontwannatalkaboutlove.” CRAY gets vulnerable on this one with the lyrics and the visuals alike, creating something both stunning and shocking.
idontwannatalkaboutlove is out now.
I wrote this song last year. Back then i was sick of how perfect social media made relationships look, and how “love” would overshadow the individual. My story is mine. and mine alone. https://t.co/J2dlZEeuAP pic.twitter.com/B4upFnbFxi

She went on to say, “This isn’t a break up song. I wrote this during a relationship. I’m not into playing bullshit games. The concept of the video comes from my head, and how i felt last year. The chains, the blood, being bare and alone. I cried in the video. It’s just real and that’s all I can give u…. Thank u for taking this ride with me I couldn’t do it alone. Everything I do, I do for you.”
This is the first track off her upcoming EP coming out “soon.” You can see CRAY soon when she performs at Dusk Music Festival alongside Kaskade, REZZ, TOKiMONSTA and more. Grab tickets here.
