YetepAustralian producer Flume is no stranger in the scene and when it comes to new music, the hype surrounding his name just continues to bloom as beautifully as his cover art. Real name Harley Edward Streten has surprised fans left and right lately, with his hiatus in 2017 to when he dropped his Hi This Is Flume mixtape. His shockingly innovative composition is a marked welcome from his signature future bass sound. Flume’s latest release is a breathtaking mini mix for Annie Mac’s BBC 1 radio special. “Hi This Is 4/4” is a house and techno homage full of soothing, yet choppy beats and eerie vocals that attests to Streten’s unconventional music making. Check it out on BBC or listen below!

This mini mix is definitely mini! Pushing five minutes, each track breezes into one another. You get a whiff of something familiar to your ears before it slides into a new tantalizing groove. We’re not used to hearing him among the house and techno scene, but a new mix entices something on the horizon. Promising a new project and the drop of his sample package earlier this year is exciting for fans ready for more. For now, relish in Flume’s “Hi This Is 4/4” for Annie Mac.
