Relentless Beat of the Week: The Chainsmokers – ‘Push My Luck’

Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, who make up the EDM/pop crossover duo, The Chainsmokers, are riding a massive wave of success that started all the way back in 2015 with their debut album, Bouquet. Just this past year, they’ve released hit after hit, teaming with the likes of Illenium, Bebe Rexha, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more. The duo has been teasing their latest album, World War Joy, for months. While no release date has been announced, you can enjoy the latest installment, “Push My Luck” below for today’s Relentless Beat of the Week.

Featuring solo vocals from Taggart, the track keeps it slow and mellow almost all the way through, until an electronic drop builds and rounds out the track. Taggart’s heartfelt vocals, delving into the nuances of relationships, complement a melodic guitar riff in the background. “Push My Luck” marks the duo’s first solo release since “Kills You Slowly.”
