YetepAmerican DJ and Producer, Amtrac, is coming into 2020 full swing with a “Radical” new piece, enlisting the vocals of LA-based Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. The two pair together seamlessly on the track as they deliver a tender, unbridled production that reflects what’s to come from each for the remainder of the year. “Radical” follows Amtrac’s “Between The Lines” and is the sophomore release to his forthcoming Oddyssey. It’s been almost a decade since Amtrac’s debut LP, Came Along, and we are anxious to receive the next.
His latest track eases listeners into casual house vibes that are both lively and soothing at the same time. T.E.E.D.’s silky vocals echo deep in our minds as synths bounce on top of one another warming us from the inside out. The entire track reverberates broiling peace and infectious harmonies leaving room for enough anticipation of the release of Oddyssey. Out now on Openers/RCA Records, listen below.
Amtrac, born Caleb Cornett, made his humble beginnings in 2010 and a few years later he remixed Kaskade’s ‘Atmosphere.’ He’s graced the stages of Ultra, EDC Las Vegas, Osheaga, Holy Ship!, and more. In 2017, he launched his imprint, Openers, with the first release being his 1987 EP before signing with RCA Records. “Radical” is a welcome addition to every production already under his belt.
Collaborating with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, born Orlando Higginbottom, created something magical. Higginbottom first entered the scene in 2012 with his debut album, Trouble. His unique style leads to several years touring a now legendary live show. He grew up on the classical music of Rossini, Holst, and Gershwin before he discovered jungle and Drum ‘n’ Bass. After performing all over the world, he’s beginning his return to his club roots. Spending time writing and recording new music in London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Australia, some forests, and more, a slew of interesting music is about to emerge.
Higginbottom said of the track, “Greatly honoured to be singing on my friend Amtrac’s song. He played me the rest of the album, it’s excellent of course, exciting to be a part of it”
Keep your radar on these two as dreamy, “Radical” music is sure to emerge.
