YetepMelodic techno and deep house producer, Luttrell, is starting the year off strong with his latest enigmatic release, “My Friend The Sun.” He announced that this is the first single off of his sophomore album, Lucky Ones, which is set to be released on March 13th.
We’ve had quite some time to marinate in Luttrell’s synchronized and unique blend of beats as his mainstay on Anjunadeep has placed him at the forefront of the scene. He’s garnered support from the likes of Mody, What So Not, Tycho, Lane 8 and more while his track “Intergalactic Plastic” was dubbed, by Annie Mac, her Hottest Record in the World. Besides touring alongside Above & Beyond, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Lane 8, he’s played on some of the biggest stages in the world including Tomorrowland and Electric Forest. With his debut album, Into Clouds, there followed a massive North American Tour. But now, it’s time to leave room for eager excitement, because, with new Luttrell music, we’re the Lucky Ones. “My Friend The Sun” is out now on Anjunadeep, listen below.
The track starts with deep beginnings that build to plunge listeners into a driving bassline full of synths-on-synths. It’s impossible to pinpoint one piece of the track and focus on it, as Luttrell adds enough elements to make the ears perk up with each new introduction of sound. It’s a pulsating, high energy piece that spins you for a loop.
Luttrell took to Twitter and said of the second LP, “It’s an album about gratitude and not taking for granted the beautiful things in this world. In between touring all spring, summer and fall, I spent as much time as I could in my studio letting the creative process guide me towards this second full-length as Luttrell. I’m really proud of the result. It’s an album that people will be able to listen to straight through many times over and hear something different each time.”
His creative production will be taking over the perfect venue for his melodic sound, Shady Park, on May 2nd. Click here for tickets!
