YetepWith an opening that’s reminiscent of a classic 90’s hip hip beat, Getter’s new single “Represent” quickly escalates to a hard-hitting, gritty dubstep track. Infectious riffs made up of swampy bass will have you bouncing up and down as you follow Getter back to his roots. So, take a step into the time machine and give it a listen below.
Getter has utilized these past few years to explore multiple avenues within his music career. Fans began to notice a softer side of his work blossoming, perhaps with the release of “Something New” off his Wat The Frick EP in 2016. He then spent the better part of 2017 under the rapper alias, Terror Reid releasing tracks that tickled the dark and delightful side of hip hop. Come 2018 he released his debut studio album, Visceral which featured wondrous vocal support and was enveloped in a spacey vibrance unlike anything he’d shown us before. These projects proved Getter’s ability to step into different shoes and still run circles around the EDM genre – his creativity knowing no bounds.
“Represent” appears to be a nod towards his start in the dubstep scene all while incorporating the various attributes he acquired during his recent endeavors. This track is sure to get you pumped to see what Getter has planned for his next experiment. Be sure to follow him at the links below!
