YetepThe highly anticipated and first ever collaboration between the iconic dubstep DJs, Excision and Subtronics, was released this Wednesday and did not disappoint. “Bunker Buster” is a high energy song filled with heavy bass drops and rumbling robotic sounds that any headbanger can break their neck to.
Subtronics has grown to be one of the most popular bass producers, especially with his recent pod and drive-in tour across the country. Subtronics is expected to appear in many upcoming festivals, including Excisions Lost Lands Festival, making the two’s collaboration an exciting drop for this festival season. Subtronics exclaimed his excitement for the release stating, “Writing a tune with Excision has been nothing short of a complete full-circle dubstep experience for me. I’ve seen his shows as a fan probably 15-20+ times way back before I started making solid music. The opportunity to produce something with such an icon is nothing short of mind-blowing, not to mention, how ridiculously well our sound design complemented each other’s mixdowns. This was super fun to work on. Jeff is the king of kings.”
Excision and Subtronics always fill my need for dirty dubstep, so this release has been super fun to jam to, especially as I look forward to the upcoming festival season.
