YetepFittingly dubbed a “World Bass” producer, CloZee has managed to maintain originality in an oversaturated industry full of redundancy. She proved that back in 2018 with her debut album, Evasion, and then again in 2020 with Neon Jungle.
The French DJ/producer just released her latest EP, a six-track masterpiece entitled Nouvelle Era, via her own Odyzey Music imprint. CloZee keeps her cutting-edge streak going strong here, as each track brings a different soundscape teeming with complexity and layers.
The EP kicks off with “Jellyfish,” which brings instrumental elements together with bass for a whimsy, intriguing creation. “Hold On” is an infectious track featuring vocals by MOONZz and exploding synths. The title track is bass-heavy with CloZee’s signature “worldly” elements unfolding throughout. A stark contrast, “Farewell” comes next, with its ethereal, melancholic soundscape. “Brave” is a multidimensional track with layered melodies while “Falling In Love” closes out the EP on a bittersweet note.
After a period of writer’s block, CloZee said about the EP on social media: “This is the most therapeutic project I’ve put out so far…I somehow could pull it through and share those 6 new songs with you.”
CloZee will be heading to Chandler for this year’s Goldrush Festival, taking place September 24-26th. You can see the full lineup and purchase tickets here!
