YetepIt’s time to enter the House of Wax. Australian DJ and producer, Wax Motif, has just released his debut album! The seventeen-track LP titled “House of Wax” is packed full of genre-defying and jaw-dropping tracks. This new release shares four brand-new tracks and three remixes. The album is out now on Wax’s very own label, Divided Soul Records.
Listen to House of Wax via Divided Souls below:
Known for his unique shapeshifting producing, Wax has a way of cultivating a sound with both hip-hop swagger and bass-house brilliance. It’s hard to believe House of Wax is his first ever album when looking back at his already insane discography. He’s released some of the biggest bass-house bangers in the past couple of years (honorable mention to his track “WET” from 2019). House of Wax already has a couple of bass-house bangers on it’s own, “Skank N Flex”, “Thrills”, and “All Black Everything” just to mention a few.
Of the release Wax Motif shared – “These are all songs that I have made over the years that fit my overall style and are meant to stand the test of time—some of these were created years ago. This album shows my progression, the different styles I’ve tested, and the sounds that felt true to myself.”
House of Wax shows exactly how incredibly versatile Wax is. He shares his signature bass-house sound, his hip-hop swagger, and even shares his chilled-out vibey side too. The new tracks “Issa Vibe” with BKLYN, “Eyes Closed” with ilo ilo, and “Live For The Night” featuring Daecolm and Ink, are all from a world of their own. House of Wax gives us the honor of hearing how far Wax has come and far he will go to stay on top.
You can catch Wax Motif this March 4th when he hits the Mirage stage at Body Language Music Festival in Downtown Tempe, Arizona! You can get your tickets and read more about the rest of the lineup here.
