YetepThe new single “Deja Vu” by Colorado-based duo Big Gigantic and NY Hip-Hop artist Kota the Friend is out now, boasting unique style and form. The new track is refreshing and differs from what we’ve come to expect from their individual releases. Check out the brand new jam below!
The song represents each artist remarkably well and proves that they have the ability to adapt and create something inspiring no matter how contrasted in flavor. Kota brings his raw, intense vocals that move your soul and complements the upbeat sound of Big Gigantic in perfect symmetry. The verse “Life is just a series of conversations and moments, and peace is something you gotta choose despite emotions” is only a small sentiment example from the grand picture the beat encompasses. The listener is taken on a journey about growth, growing pains, riches and what demons those riches can bring. The term “Deja Vu” is present within this track in the idea that what goes up must come down, and then back around.
“Deja Vu” follows another recent collab with Griz, “Open Your Mind, “and continues Kota the Friends reign of fierce lyrics after his recently finished Lyrics to GO series, Vol. 3.
You can catch Big Gigantic on May 14th at Dreamglow in Albuquerque alongside Hannah Wants and Tokimonsta. Get tickets here!
