YetepDJ Glen and Luke Andy have us seeing stars on their new two-track EP, 2 Tha Moon / Europa. With roots in the 2000’s underground techno scene, Brazilian-born DJ Glen has evolved stylistically over the years, though he maintains his funky house and techno grooves. Hailing from Washington D.C., emerging producer Luke Andy utilizes his unique upbringing in his sound, with influences ranging from hip-hop to jazz, and funk to indie. Together, the two producers created a pair of eclectic and memorable house tracks, released via Walker & Royce’s burgeoning imprint, Rules Don’t Apply.
“2 Tha Moon” opens with jittering vocal chops and a gravity-defying bassline as co-pilots DJ Glen and Luke Andy prepare for lift-off. An influx of galvanizing synths lilt and loop to create a dizzying journey to outer space. The second track lands us in the orbit of “Europa,” one of Jupiter’s moons. Bouncy bass and psychedelic synths take us on an excursion across the crackled surface of Jupiter’s icy satellite.
Listen to 2 Tha Moon / Europa below!
Get ready for takeoff! DJ Glen and Luke Andy will be taking us “2 Tha Moon” when they go back to back at Darkstar on December 1st. Click here for tickets.
