YetepRenowned artist, Flux Pavilion, is gearing up to take on Texas this Thursday and deliver a night of heart-pounding bass you absolutely won’t want to miss.
Hailing from Towcester, UK, Flux Pavilion, also known as Joshua Steele, is a true musical prodigy. From an early age, he showed a natural inclination for music, from singing to effortlessly playing various instruments. His passion for creating music that resonates with both him and his devoted audience has been the driving force throughout his remarkable career.
Drawing inspiration from influential acts like The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, and dubstep pioneer Rusko, Flux Pavilion was captivated by the energy and power of dance music, and in 2008 he found his calling in dubstep, quickly gaining recognition in the scene.
In 2009, Flux Pavilion first blessed us with the EP Boom, a collaborative project with notable artists Excision and Datsik. However, it was his 2010 release, Lines in Wax, that featured one of his most iconic tracks to date, “I Can’t Stop,” a certified anthem that we can all agree did not have to go that hard (but we’re really glad it did). Find it linked below to refresh your memory!
And that’s barely scratching the surface when it comes to his massive bank of unforgettable hits and remixes! Perhaps you remember vibing to his remix of “Thief” by Ookay or the remix of “Cracks” by Belle Humble and Freestylers? Yeah, iconic.
Over the years, he’s delivered countless musical gems, including “Savage,” a collaboration with Whethan and MAX, “Do Or Die” featuring the one and only Childish Gambino, “Paradise,” “Bass Cannon,”—the list truly goes on. His most recent album, Tesla, dropped in 2015, showcasing his evolution as an artist and cementing his status in the EDM realm. Check it out below!
With his unparalleled production skills and explosive energy, Flux Pavilion’s live performances are legendary. It’s no surprise he’s captivated audiences across the globe, and now it’s El Paso’s turn to experience the magic (and to get a sneak peek of all this unreleased music he’s been teasing!).
Mark your calendars and make your way to Lowbrow Palace in El Paso, Texas, this Thursday, May 18th, as Flux Pavilion takes the stage. Secure your tickets here!
