Remix Recall: deadmau5 & Kaskade – ‘I Remember’ (John Summit Remix)

In this week’s Remix Recall, we’re celebrating 15 years of one of the greatest dance tracks to ever exist, Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s iconic hit “I Remember”! Deadmau5 and Kaskade are two of the biggest names in dance music. Each of them, both individually and as Kx5, have created an enormous empire with discographies full of solid gold. 

In honor of commemorating this major milestone, Deadmau5 and Kaskade have officially shared the release of John Summit’s “I Remember” remix. This is Summit’s second remix of Kx5 following his notorious edit of “Escape.”

“I Remember” is one of the most iconic progressive house tracks of all time. Created by two major pioneers of dance music, Deadmau5 and Kaskade, this track has mesmerizing vocals on an atmospheric soundscape full of emotion. The production of the song is centered on a captivating piano riff and has a gentle, downtempo groove. 

A decade and a half later, we are getting to see one of today’s biggest names in dance share his spin on this timeless classic. John Summit pays homage with a melodic techno twist that beautifully blends eras both new and old. This remix beams nostalgia and absolutely pays respect to these two legends.
