Remix Recall: ‘Come A Little Closer’ – Cage The Elephant (Levity Remix)

Since their spontaneous arrival, this trio has taken the scene and flipped it upside down (iykyk)! This week’s Remix Recall is dedicated to Chicago’s very own, Levity! Gaining their start after stepping in to play a set at this year’s Electric Forest, Pj Carberry, John Hauldren, and Josh Tarum have had a monumental last six months. The trio has kept their momentum high by releasing hit after hit. Their recent single “Flip It” quickly became one of the most viral tracks to come out of this year, and their recent remix of Cage The Elephant’s hit “Come A Little Closer” is well on its way too.

This dubstep-infused Cage The Elephant flip is exactly what we needed. Levity is spreading their magic to corners that have been untouched for years. With their relentless releases, this trio has received over a million plays on Spotify alone. They’ve joined forces to tour with industry heavyweights Big Gigantic and Zeds Dead, as well as single-handedly sold out their inaugural Los Angeles headline show.

It’s incredibly inspirational how their impromptu Electric Forest performance has opened up so many amazing opportunities and brought them a well-deserved limelight—a tremendously uplifting story. With their persistent dedication and passion, they have solidified their place as one of the most exciting new groups to emerge in 2023.
