Excision & Sullivan King Release ‘Codename: Reckless’

Gather all ye headbangers and moshers of pits. Excision and Sullivan King are back with another fiery collaboration for the masses. “Codename: Reckless” is heavy as can be. This is to be expected with talent so fierce and dynamic behind the decks. Thundering drums and shredding guitars immediately welcome us to a dark colosseum inhabited by a T-Rex and an enormous Skeleton King. As we are pummeled by a progressively heavier beat, we are also greeted by a “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!” soundbite, a call to “fight through the pain,” glistening and galactic sound effects, a relentless “X UP” chant, and a drop akin to skydiving headfirst into a volcano. All in about the first 90 seconds. Yes. It is THAT good. The boys do not let up for a second, and it is glorious. Neck breaking tempo changes follow as well as my personal favorite detail, the “I like what I’m hearing” sound effect that gets me EVERY time. This is a battle anthem for the ages. Nice work, gents! This song is absolutely MENACING and I cannot get enough. R.I.P. to all of the future broken festival rails that are sure to follow in this song’s wake.
