YetepMulti-genre master and Basstrack 2023 alumnus Eliminate begins his Get Off The Internet Tour this April in support of the album of the same name. Released on February 2nd, this project is a perfect window into the genre-hopping capabilities of the famed producer. With influences from House, DnB, dubstep, and a multitude of other genres, dynamic features add to Eliminate’s already stellar production and help every song stand out on their own merits. The tour is landing at Darkstar in Tempe, Arizona on Friday April 5th. Darkstar features both a General Admission Floor as well as GA spots on the balcony, which I HIGHLY recommend. Tickets are available HERE and likely to go up in price as the date approaches. Mezzanine table options are also available.
SMSOU (Set My Sight On You) Featuring St. Louis pop duo Frost Children is a highlight from Get Off The Internet for sure. The song starts out glitchy as can be while the song’s title is repeated over a bass house-style beat. A wonky melody accompanies the beat as the two featured singers trade verses over snares and scratch fades. The song’s lyrics are bold and brash. I LOVE IT. The song’s acronymous This is definitely a certified, flirty club floor banger! “Did you think I wouldn’t love you when the sun comes out?”, inquires a guest vocalist as we build to a drop. This particular drop starts out as blaring alarms that descend into a wubby slither. The song elements are perfectly layered over one another as they weave in and out of each other. Incredible! Around the 2.5 minute mark, an unexpected bridge transforms into an autotuned masterpiece straight out of a late 2000s metalcore track, before getting RIGHT BACK to the EDM. A techno-inspired breakdown and one final SMSOU chant close out this great track. What a ride.
