YetepThe masters of deep dub and the creators of the genre-defining record label Deep Dark and Dangerous are preparing for a wild winter season. Ahead of their upcoming performance at Coconino Campout this weekend, Truth has brought an EP filled with tunes that they have been teasing and using in their sets all summer. This three-single Woden EP is the perfect preparation for Fall. WIth a slower and darker tempo and tone than some of their summer releases, Truth has truly mastered the art of deep dubstep. The duo, originally from New Zealand, has been taking over the US in the last five years. They have brought their slow, melodic dubstep to the States and it has been making waves ever since.
Deep Dark and Dangerous, the label which was founded and is curated by Truth, has brought some of the best and brightest deep dub stars onto the main stage. With artists who have frequented Relentless Beats shows such as Pushloop and Khiva, Deep Dark and Dangerous is a home for fans of melodic and deep dubstep. With origins that trace back to the original dubstep which came out of the UK, Truth has put their own touch on the genre and has done an enormous amount to make it what it is today. The new Woden EP is a perfect example of how they are able to create a boarding and ominous atmosphere that kicks you in the face with their heavy basslines. To experience Truth on a good sound system is to have your whole body immersed in an experience of their music. If you are a fan of deep dubstep or bass music, be sure to check out Coconino Campout, taking place this weekend! We are bringing Truth along with many other fantastic dubstep and deep dub artists to the beautiful Pepsi Amphitheater in Flagstaff, just a few hours north of Phoenix. Get your tickets HERE and I look forward to seeing you all there!
