YetepRiordan, who is originally from the South Coast of the UK, has been consistently dropping catchy tracks for awhile now. You might know him from his hit track “Needle on the Record,” or maybe even “Reflection” which was dropped earlier in 2023. Although he’s still early in his career as DJ-producer, he has definitely found his production style and it’s working well for him. I mean, he got to remix Calvin Harris’s “Body Moving” earlier this year. If you haven’t discovered him by now, “As the Beat Goes On” is a great introduction to his work.
“As The Beat Goes Onnn” has a hip-hop vocal sample that builds into the drop, but what truly carries this track is the funky production that Riordan put on it. There are so many sounds in this track I don’t really know where to start with it, but somehow Riordan made everything go together seamlessly. It’s one thing to put a house beat on a vocal sample, it’s another to produce the way Riordan did on this track. You’ll have to listen for yourself to fully understand how well-made this track is.
Upon release, the track was instantly picked up by Spotify’s “Tech House Operator” playlist and has continued to pick up additional playlists since. This includes the biggest tech house playlist “Housewerk”, “PARTY MODE”, and “Bangers”. Apple Music has also shown love on their “Future Dance Hits” playlist as well as “Breaking Dance” and “House Grooves”. More importantly, the track was picked up by top DJs in the industry including Westend, Joshwa, Michael Bibi, Oliver Heldens, Ferreck Dawn, MK, and more. Considering that peer support is one of the most important aspects of a successful career in house music, this proves how talented Riordan is and how bright his career looks.
