YetepSay hello to Leap96, the new collaborative project between ALRT and Sam Silver. The pair has released an introductory four-track EP, offering up something different for fans across all genres. The first released single of the EP, “BACK IT UP,” is a bass house track full of energy ft. vocals by Michael Aristotle. “AGAIN” ventures into drum & bass, with a liquid melody and soothing vocals. “Downtime” is a vibey house track, reminiscent of late 20-teens dance music. “1999” is a feel good indie-dance track that breaks traditional genre boundaries.
ALRT is still a developing act who has been releasing consistently since 2018. His primary influences are artists from the 90s like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, and Daft Punk among others. As for Sam Silver, he is a 21 year-old NYC based producer who has been getting a lot of spotify editorial love as of lately. He recently released a track on BIJOU’s label DND Records and also has some tracks with A$AP Twelvyy and pineappleCITI with over 10M streams.
It will be exciting to see what’s up next from Leap96 in the coming months. ALRT brings the old school rave scene influence while Sam Silver is contributing his new age perspective of garage, rap, and ethereal house. The two artists coming together as one is something that caught my attention instantly and I’m excited to hear more from them as time goes on.
