Chicago-based DJ and producer Azzecca is making waves once again with her latest single, “Holding Back,” which released on February 7th via Three Six Zero Recordings. Named one of DJ Mag’s Ones to Watch 2025 and part of Beatport Next’s Class of 2025, Azzecca continues to solidify her place in the electronic music world with her signature blend of cosmic, hypnotic house.
Packed with bright breakbeat drums, heavy-hearted vocals, and anthemic piano melodies, “Holding Back” is a nice balance between a club banger and a light piano house vibe. “The vocal on this track felt so anthemic, I just wanted to take a swing at making something light and fun and housey, while still incorporating some of my signature cosmic sounds,” Azzecca shares. The result is a hands-in-the-air piano house anthem with vocals that come from the soul.
Coming off a breakthrough 2024, Azzecca’s momentum continues to build.
