YetepAlleycvt continues to take the EDM world by storm with her consistent, high-quality releases and incredible live performances. Recently taking the Cyclops Desert stage by storm. She is set to appear at several other major festivals this year including EDC and Ultra. In addition, she has secured a slot at this year’s running of Lollapalooza. Expanding her reach even further outside of the EDM sphere. Alleycvt’s social media presence and appreciation for her fans has created a dedicated following that continues to grow. Her highly-anticipated debut EP, “Feel It” is also likely to drop this year. There is a lot to look forward to this year from such a talented artist.
“STRANGERS” is Alleycvt’s first release of 2025 and well worth the wait. The song was teased during her Cyclops Desert set and got the crowd HYPED! The finished product lives up to the hype and delivers on all levels. The song begins with Alleycvt’s signature clock-ticking effects, as a bubbling cauldron of bass brews in the background. Alleycvt’s soothing vocals make their entrance, ready to guide the listener through this journey of a track.
“It’s bittersweet. How the world ain’t ever really what it seems. Used to bet against it all with you and me. Gave it everything and more just for a dream. For a dream, I don’t understand. Lately I’ve been holding on to the ghost of you. Right back to where we began. Finally telling myself what it’s coming to. I guess we’re strangers again!”
In my interpretation, Alleycvt has been caught off guard by an unexpected falling out. Enough to question her perception of the reality around her. She put her all into this relationship and unfortunately lost that gamble. Feeling as if none of it was real. It has been difficult to let go of this romantic partner and the initial highs of the relationship. While feeling nostalgia for this same time period. However, this brief nostalgia trip ends when reality sets in: They have drifted so far apart that do not know each other anymore, despite their history. Alleycvt has come full circle and sees things with great clarity.
Shooting stars begin to flood in, while the buzzing bass feedback continues. Choppy, rhythmic bars and crisp drum effects create anticipation in the pre-build. Alleycvt’s echoing vocals ring out over sparks, strings, and claps. The majestic instrumentals transform into a razor-sharp drop with plampy drums and whizzing lasers. Bass rolls and bubbles in freeform. Like a dubstep lava lamp. The elements briefly fade out with subtle spirals and wonks. Leading into the next verse. This verse features several confessions from Alleycvt. Providing further context on the situation and increasing the emotional depth of “STRANGERS.”
Bass continues to buzz and slice through the track. Joined by tapping drums and atmospheric clicks. The shooting stars and choppy instrumentals return, leading to another prebuild (and drop.) Chill, icy bars form a glacier beneath the drop. This glacier is shattered by heavy drums and bass and helps draw “STRANGERS” to a close.
Alleycvt is on an unreal trajectory right now and shows no signs of slowing down. She is expanding her reach and fanbase with each festival, tour, and single. Her skills, drive, and work ethic have put her on the map. While her humbleness and gratefulness for fans regularly grow her following. EDM fans are passionate by nature, but Alleycvt fans reach a whole new level. Day One of Cyclops Desert was FLOODED with Alleycvt merchandise. This is especially impressive considering a large amount of the merch was sold at the venue and she didn’t perform until Day Two. Quickly selling out. This shows the impact that Alleycvt has had on the scene, and she is just getting STARTED.
