Distinct Motive has seen his career explode in the last two years with the release of his hit singles in “Shake Junt” and “Mellow Man,” both which have become dubstep anthems across the world. From the UK to LA, the deep bass heavy tunes make any sound system shake. Distinct Motive also gets the crowd ramped up into a frenzy when he plays his bassline bangers. Distinct Motive has been one of the most impressive artists over the last two years and has continued to release bangers. His newest release is no exception. DUBS EP is the newest EP from Distinct Motive and is brought to fans by the illustrious Deadbeats.
This five-track EP has something for all bass fans. The intro song, “Cells,” is very reminiscent of the origins of dubstep which comes out of early drum and bass. With the emphasis in the drum patterns in his tunes, it is easy to see how dubstep and deep dub began to evolve out of drum and bass origins. On “Watchin You,” Distinct Motive links up with ILLAMAN for a nasty dubplate. This is a wonky tune that is pushed forward by some aggressive vocals from ILLAMAN himself. It is hard not to listen to the song and turn up the bass to the max as the wonky cadence washes over you. The rest of the EP is full of fun bass tunes which revive the OG dubstep sound. You can listen to this newest release from Distinct Motive wherever you consume music. Be sure to check back here weekly for more of the most fresh dubplates and dubstep tunes as we are always reviewing and exploring new music.
