Tape B & Effin Collaborate On Genre Bending Masterpiece, ‘Ups and Downs’

The bass scene is reveling right now as bass maestros Tape B and Effin have finally dropped their highly-anticipated collaboration, “Ups and Downs.”

A few weeks ago, Tape B and Effin took to social media to hint at their first collaboration,  sending the bass scene into orbit. The duo’s distinct soundscapes complement each other naturally, merging wobbly synths and retro aesthetics into a track that pushes the boundaries of modern bass music. “Ups and Downs” is a masterful fusion of heavy, experimental sound design and nostalgic undertones, solidifying itself as a must-listen for fans of both artists.

During his sold-out headline debut at the Hollywood Palladium, Tape B played “Ups and Downs,” igniting a huge reaction from the crowd. After sharing the moment on Instagram, fans have been eagerly calling for the official release ever since.

“Ups and Downs” is simply a gorgeous, chill inducing MASTERPIECE. The instrumentals paint a vivid tapestry made up of several genres and sounds. Its introduction mixes Reggae/Dub with Jazz and distinct Electronic Music undertones. The soulful vocals in ‘Ups and Downs’ also defy era and genre. Tape B and Effin have really outdone themselves with “Ups and Downs.” The song is fascinating, well-produced, and has a vintage feel to it. While still sounding modern and HEAVY. This is one of the BEST EDM songs that I have heard in a while. “Ups and Downs” is pretty much flawless and I could not recommend it more. Listen ASAP to blast off on an unforgettable journey.
