YetepThe veggie master himself, Infekt is on a rampage this year with back to back releases of heat and he seems to have no plans of slowing down, as he is back yet again with another destructive heater, “Relic.” Infekt makes his venture into new paths in his career and continues to level up to greater success this year. With this release, Infekt makes his debut with Zeds Dead esteemed record label, Deadbeats. “Relic” brings a revamped dark and heavy energy while still attesting to Infekt’s signature blend of choppy and nutritious trench/riddim.
“Relic” opens in an ominous twisted soundscape with low-to-the-floor bass and chiming electric beats. Listeners are suddenly hit with a wave of warped bass distortions, hypnotic rhythms, and deep hitting bass. Infekt weaves in a signature blend of warped metallic textures and glitchy risers into a twisting drop of wobbling dark bass. “Relic” seems to bring an immersive blend of that old school dubstep sound with new waves of trench, which creates a rippling effect of unique brain-melting sounds. Infekt continues to push the boundaries of what trench/riddim is and never fails to innovate, refreshing new beats into the mix.
Infekt’s “Relic” is full of energy and power that push his sound to whole new levels. This year is only looking up for Infekt as he makes his Deadbeats premiere, in the midst of a international tour, where he has been tearing about dancefloors and shaking buildings with his powerful trench tracks. Don’t miss out on “Relic” and check out more from Infekt below!
