Yetep“Welcome (back) to the doghouse,” the legendary Kayzo takes us back to his early career in his new track “Surge.” The track follows a dark and industrial sound, of course with Kayzo’s renowned high-energy style. Blending heavy bass, electrifying synths, and a relentless rhythm, the track surges forward with unstoppable momentum, pulling listeners into its chaotic, adrenaline-charged atmosphere. As mentioned through his social media, “Surge” is his first solo release in eight years under record label monstercat.
True to Kayzo’s genre-defying style, “Surge” bridges elements of dubstep, hard techno, and rock. As the song progresses, it refuses to settle into a predictable structure, instead keeping listeners on edge with sudden shifts in tempo and texture, a signature move that showcases Kayzo’s legendary sound design. The drops unleash a tidal wave of distorted and thunderous bass, aggressive percussion, and dark rhythms.
Kayzo said the following on his social media regarding the release of “Surge”–
“Wayyy back in 2017 I released a little song called this time with monstercat. I so badly wanted to release with them and that song really was a rocket for me at the time (and tbh still goes off). This is the first solo release on the label since then so it was only right to go back to the roots of kayzo with this one”
-Kayzo
Kayzo takes og fans back to his early hard-hitting sounds while continuing to take a fearless and innovative approach to his music. With “Surge,” Kayzo once again proves his ability to blur genre lines and deliver a track that hits with pure intensity and raw power. As Kayzo continues to evolve his sound, “Surge” stands as a testament to his unwavering grip on the pulse of heavy electronic music.
