Artist Discovery Series: Crumb Pit

Crumb Pit is an electronic music duo from the UK that I discovered through Instagram reels, a prime source for my EDM recommendations. A promo video for the song “WGDC” appeared on my feed and made an EXCELLENT first impression. Crumb Pit’s impeccable lyricism and delivery mesh well with their sputtering brand of drum & bass. Crumb Pit’s cheeky shenanigans in the studio and on stage help them stand out amongst their peers. In addition, they are also able to craft masterful flips, remixes, and mashups to show off their skillset and versatility behind the decks. These factors combine to create a dynamic and effective duo that is here to stay.

Crumb Pit’s versatility as artists goes even further! They have been able to craft mellow tracks that capture a sort of lovesick yearning, such as “Heart Already Broken (ft. Amanda Joy)“‘; and “I’m 2 Weak (ft. Emilia Ali)” On the flip side, they have outstanding party anthems with plenty of attitude. Songs like “Kiera Knightly” and “No Crumbs” are perfect examples of this! The latter features my FAVORITE Crumb Pit lyric:

“NO CRUMBS ON THE MIC, ALRIGHT I’M EATING THIS!”

“Lights Camera Action” a discusses money and partying over a SICK glitchy beat, while “Heavier” uses voicemails and bass to capture their trademark sass. Both of these tracks push the limits of the DnB sound, once again demonstrating the duo’s versatile sound and skillset. Crumb Pit’s social media presence is as wild as their tracks and personalities. Promo videos for songs abound.. sometimes with multiple videos for the same song in different angles and settings. The guest stars are also featured in these promo shots. They also thoroughly document their insane sets and global adventures, giving listeners a behind the scenes look into their antics.
