YetepChris Lake is riding the high of an extraordinary 2025, culminating in his second GRAMMY® nomination for his official remix of The Chemical Brothers’ classic “Galvanize.” This incredible year has been defined by the release of his debut album Chemistry, powerhouse collaborations, a sold-out global tour, and one of the most electrifying runs the dance music scene has seen in years.
Chris Lake’s official remix of The Chemical Brothers’ iconic track “Galvanize” not only honors the original but reinvents it for a new generation of dance music fans. Released to mark the track’s 20th anniversary, the remix has been praised for striking the perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation, keeping the energy of the original while adding Lake’s signature house flair. This recognition with a GRAMMY® nomination underscores his ability to take legendary material and transform it in a way that resonates globally, cementing his place as both a tastemaker and a forward-thinking force in electronic music.
The acclaim for his Galvanize remix adds to a year full of milestones, including the release of his debut album, Chemistry. Released in July on his independent label Black Book Records, Chemistry quickly made waves, hitting #13 on Billboard’s Electronic Album Chart, topping Apple Music’s Dance Album Chart, and ranking in Spotify’s Top 10 Global Debut Albums. Featuring 15 tracks—12 of which are collaborations—the album showcases Lake’s creative partnerships, including standout tracks with Abel Balder, Bonobo featuring Alexis Roberts, and a personal contribution from his wife, Aatig.
Collaboration has always been central to Chris Lake and especially this year, with notable projects including work with Skrillex on “La Noche,” Disclosure on “one2three,” and a reunion with Sammy Virji and Atrip. He also continued his side project Anti Up with Chris Lorenzo, performing acclaimed sets at events like Portola Festival.
Beyond music releases, Lake has engaged fans through his weekly Twitch and YouTube streams, sharing production tips, demos, and guest appearances from artists including Dillon Francis and Bonobo. He even participated in Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3, performing an impromptu private set, highlighting his playful connection with fans.
Reflecting on his career, Lake shared:
“I’ve been at this for over two decades, and 2025 has reminded me why I fell in love with this in the first place.” says Chris “It’s not just about one track or one show but about building something that lasts, pushing myself creatively, and proving that independence can still lead to the biggest stages. This year has been the clearest sign yet that if you stay true to your vision, the rest will follow.”
-Chris Lake
Lake is currently touring his Chemistry album across the U.S., U.K., and Europe, with sold-out shows at iconic venues including Red Rocks, KOKO London, and Brooklyn Storehouse. As part of his partnership with PLUS1, $1 from every ticket sold is being donated to Oceanic Global to support ocean conservation.
Chris Lake will bring the Chemistry Album Tour to Revel in Albuquerque on December 11th, and Rawhide in Chandler on December 13th. Both nights are expected to be major highlights of the tour, capping off the year with unforgettable energy and some really incredible house music.
