FISHER is arguably one of the most energetic people in dance music. He attracts some of the most upbeat, lively crowds and consistently releases the most danceable tracks of our time. This is apparent through tracks like his rework of “World, Hold On,” the “Somebody I Used to Know” remix, “Atmosphere,” “Take it Off,” and the list goes on. He has recently collaborated with Flowdan on “Boost Up,” which is another easy to dance to track that has been teased during his sets for months.
Flowdan is widely known for his deep vocals on “Rumble” with Skrillex and Fred again.., but he is a legend in the space and has a deep history in the scene. He’s been at it since 2001 when he was one of the founding members of Roll Deep. He was one of the first grime MCs and was one of nine artists on “Pow! (Forward)” by Lethal Bizzle, which is one of the most successful grime songs to date. He won a GRAMMY for his participation in “Rumble,” making him the first grime MC to ever win a GRAMMY. Flowdan is a trailblazer and will go down in history as one of the greatest MCs in grime.
About a month ago he included “Boost Up” in his Cow Palace San Francisco set, the crowd energy was clear and people were having a great time (as expected for a Fisher set)! While this isn’t a one of those tracks that would be used for the peak of a set making the crowd go wild, it’s a great deep cut for the true tech house fans. Getting Flowdan on a track with FISHER is something I didn’t know I needed, but I’m entirely here for it and look forward to it being played in FISHER’s sets.
