YetepBT is on tour in support of his laundry list of singles and his upcoming album A Song Across Wires. Last night he stopped by El Santo Cantina for a night swim under the stars of North Scottsdale.
On his way to the venue, BT grabbed some sushi before a late night of dance music. When he arrived we rushed him to the restaurant area of El Santo for a meet and greet with some die hard fans. All fans had to do was LIKE and SHARE a post on Facebook promoting the show for a chance to win. These lucky guests got the chance to hang with a legend before watching the master at work on the decks.
During the meet and greet, one of the fans took off his shirt to show BT a tattoo. The tattoo impressed BT so much he took a picture of it to text to his good friend Armin van Buuren. Then a fan handed BT a cell phone to talk to someone at home that didn’t believe BT was actually in the house. It was great meeting and hanging out with Brian, but what impressed me the most was how he interacted with his fans.
After the meet and greet, it was time to dance. I couldn’t wait to hear “Skylarking,” a hot single from the upcoming album that is getting the royal treatment of remixes from nearly everyone in dance. I didn’t care what version of the song he played, I just wanted to hear it!
When I listen to BT, especially his older stuff, I don’t see him as a good live set. But after watching several videos on YouTube and texting buddies of mine that have seen him live in Las Vegas, I knew he was going to be legit. BT (aka Brian Transeau) has a way of simply captivating his audience with his work. He might be a DJ on the outside, but he is a true artist on the inside.
If you weren’t at El Santo on Saturday night, you missed one hell of a show. Thanks for everything you do, BT!
