YetepSurreal star Zingara is known for her buzzing bass walls and spiritual melodies. She recently collaborated with Steller to release the Is This Real? EP. Zingara has also worked alongside hard-hitting producers such as Hallucinate and Austeria, creating a diverse soundscape throughout her discography. Her sets are iconic and feature vivid visuals. Zingara’s output is consistent in both quality and quantity.
“Hi Stranger,” Zingara’s newest release, features several positive affirmations and broadcasts love and good vibes throughout. “Hi Stranger” came out when I really needed to hear it. I have also played for several friends, spreading the positive messages even further. The vocals and lyrics are complimented by the crystalline clicks and chirps, and pleasantly contrast with the darker bass and wubs. This creates a progressive track that runs together seamlessly. The build up to the second drop blends notes of trance with modern dubstep and a surprise House-inspired bridge.
“Hi Stranger.. It’s been a while. I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. I see you trying to do so many things at once. Worrying about a decision you made or worried that you said the wrong thing to someone. You are so hard on yourself. But you’re worthy of being loved. You just have to let yourself believe it. It’s so nice to stop and take all this in. It really makes you enjoy being alive.”
The song closes with a reassuring “I know you are really busy and you probably have to go am glad I got to see you for a minute. I love you!” “Hi Stranger” is the perfect song to play at your highest highs and your lowest lows. A beautiful meditative journey for all.
