YetepThe #MelloGang and #SharkSquad both have something to drink to! Two of the fastest rising and most talented producers in dance music, Marshmello and Jauz have come together to take on Duke Dumont‘s “Need U (100%)” in their remix released yesterday. #MelloGang – a hashtag you may be unfamiliar with, but you’ve at least heard of the mysterious Marshmello behind it by now; maybe you were even lucky enough to see him during his set at this year’s Global Dance Festival Arizona. Marshmello has famously made it known that his identity is not what his project is about; it’s solely about the music.
“I just want to make good music…that doesn’t require you knowing who I am.” – Marshmello
As a big thank you to the fans, both the #MelloGang and #SharkSquad can rejoice at the release of this new collaborative remix of “Need U (100%).” Grab the FREE Download here: https://www.hive.co/l/eesm
With an arsenal of successful remixes like the “Where Are U Now” remix under his belt, Marshmello takes the lead in this Duke Dumont remix starting 30 seconds in, with his signature sound gingerly weaved throughout the track. He makes his music unique to himself, describing it as, “deep fluffy hybrid melodic sexy trap house.” He utilizes fast paced dancey synths, cut vocals to make each song unique, combined with that sexy trap bass, which are prominent features of the his signature Marshmello sound.
Jauz, on the other hand, subscribes to the notion that “music has no boundaries,” refusing to limit himself to a singular style or genre. With noteworthy remixes of several tracks, as well as admired original tracks such as “Feel The Volume“, Jauz quickly built a name for himself in the dance music world. Soon after, everyone and their mother started collaborating with the California kid, which essentially means everyone and Skrillex have started turning out collaborative tracks with the newcomer Jauz. This made the Shark Squad grow exponentially, and skyrocketed Jauz to the successful career he has today. Many of his tracks contain future house stylistic components, which you can hear sporadically spread through this track.
In 2015, Relentless Beats brought Jauz to Phoenix Lights to rock the world of 8,000 attendees as they were introduced to the young shark. Now he is set to return in 2016 to headline the 7th inaugural Crush Valentine’s Day music festival on February 13th, 2016 alongside Borgeous, Keys N Krates, Seven Lions, Netsky, Peking Duk and Wax Motif. Don’t spend more on Crush tickets; grab them now because you know you’ll end up going to this epic festival!
