YetepHaven’t you heard? Flume is back. His new single “Never Be Like You” feat. Kai has been capturing people’s attention everywhere, and it’s gotten us pumped for his forthcoming album. Though less instrumental than his previous work, Flume’s track is still packed full of his classic wavy drops.
Earlier this week, Flume released the music video for “Never Be Like You.”
Check it out here:
Flume – Never Be Like You feat. Kai [Official Music Video]
Director Clemens Habicht created a world of heartbreak and altered memories between two former lovers, played by Australian actors Sophie Lowe and Sam Reid.
Picture the last time you had your heart broken. The fresh wound of losing someone you love probably had you feeling absent and disoriented. The good times you once had become dream-like memories. You remember, but you try to forget.
Flume’s video puts you in this mental state of lost love. Adding visuals that perfectly fit one of Flume’s songs seems near impossible, but it looks like Habicht overcame the impossible. The wavy misrepresentation of reality that he created was spot on. The music video has added another dimension to the track which creates an even more emotional experience.
