YetepIn celebration of hitting 4 million followers on SoundCloud, Steve Aoki drops his edit of Henry Fong’s “Drop It Down Low”. Released on June 14th, 2016, Steve Aoki adds his electro flavor to the mix to completely flip Henry’s bassy original. The edit begins with a 4/4 tropical drum beat accompanied by a rhythmic hook from Richie Loop, which later leads into screeching electro synths and slamming 808’s.
Steve was born November 30th, 1977, in Miami, Florida, but grew up in Newport Beach, California. Steve graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 1995, and later attended The University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned two BA’s. During his time in college Steve started his own label, Dim Mak Records. Since that time Steve has had releases on Dim Mak from artists such as: MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, Felix Cartal, Mustard Pimp, and many more!
Henry, got his start in the music scene during college as well, when he began djing during his time at The University of Central Florida. During his time there Henry held several residencies and promotion jobs at Orlando night clubs. After college Henry then decide to move to Los Angeles to pursue music production and a serious career as an artist.
