YetepThis week on EDMovie Madness we will be digging deep into three music video’s from Apashe, Major Lazer, and Hayden James. Three completely different artists, with three completely different video’s.
Apashe – Fuck Boy
Montreal based producer Apashe has been on a fast upward spiral with the success of his tracks “No Twerk,” and “I’m a Dragon,” and now he’s offered us a political parody in music video form for his track “Fuck Boy.” This video turns the current presidential election on it’s head by making fun of just how ridiculous this election has become, and some may say the star of the video fits perfectly with the song title. Throughout the video, look alike’s of Donald Trump and his wife Melania rally support for their political campaign speaking on the platform of more jobs, no taxes, and the promise of being rich and famous. Be careful… this video is NSFW and includes some stripping.
Major Lazer – Cold Water
Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” featuring Justin Bieber and Mø has rightfully made it’s way to being one of the biggest hits this summer. It can be heard all day on the radio and probably more than once at any music festival, and now it’s got an awesome music video as well. Featured in the video are four of Major Lazer’s dancers dancing in front of towering waterfalls, black sand glacier beaches, magical meadows and dramatic cliffsides, all in Iceland, where there is most definitely some cold, cold water.
Hayden James – Just A Lover
Singer, songwriter and producer Hayden James may have only gotten his start in 2013, but he’s already racked up over 30 million plays on his SoundCloud. Hayden has just released an official video to accompany his infectious jam “Just A Lover.” Directed by Leigh Newman of Splintr, the video shows an encounter between two lovers in a dingy American motel. With dreamlike sequences intertwined with passionate scenes between the two characters, the video serves as the perfect accompaniment to a track that pleads and croons for a temporary lover.
