Artist Spotlight: Nebbra & Memorecks — Get to Know The Northern Lights Tour Openers

Coming up on October 27th  Zeds Dead‘s Northern Lights Tour will be making a stop here in Tempe, Arizona at the Marquee. Joining the Canadian duo is supporting acts Nebbra and Memorecks. Let’s get to know them a little better.

J. Peck, also known as Memorecks, is one of those artists that is simply one of a kind. He’s a frequent Zeds Dead collaborator and specializes in live pad sampling sets and awesome YouTube videos. Once you catch a glimpse of this guy on the pads, you won’t want to look away.

Memorecks began creating music when he was 12 years old on Fruity Loops, and was self taught from there. He specializes in instrumental hip-hop, but there’s more to it then just that. One of Memorecks most known collaborations is “Collapse” done with Zeds Dead and vocals by Jenna Pemkowski. The tracks was probably the most succesful on Zeds Dead’s EP, and This earned the two international airplay and reoccurring video play on Much Music. The song was also placed in the trailer for the movie, Tracers, starring Taylor Lautner, of Twilight fame, and even earned a feature in last April’s issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.

Nebbra is an up and coming artist from France with a pop-based funky future sound. In the first two years of his music career he won 5 out of 5 remix competitions he took part in including Lily Allen, Phantogram, Karin Park, Cage The Elephant and Party Thieves remix contests. This lead to several high profile official remix opportunities of artist like Selena Gomez, Zeds Dead and Lemaitre and for Skrillex Label Owsla.

Skrillex then selected one of Nebbra’s remixes for his Skrillex Select playlist which received 17 million listens only on his SoundCloud, 4 millions Youtube streams, 3 millions Spotify streams and a vastly growing fan base of over 36.000.

Both artists have worked with and remixed Zeds Dead, and I think all three of them under one roof is destined to be an amazing show.
