YetepBritish producer and DJ Billy Kenny is widely accustomed to the lower, more aggressive frequencies of house and techno. His releases on Dirtybird, Sweat It Out and his co-run imprint This Ain’t Bristol circulate the festival scene and globe alike.
This Ain’t Bristol has turned more than a few well-respected heads since its launch in late 2014 and continues to pump out high-quality releases to their ever-growing audience. His endless edits, live sampling, looping and unexpected choices of weaponry make him a standout act. Billy has perfected his craft behind the decks turning out amazing sets everywhere he goes.
This week’s RB Deep in the Mix takes us back to Dirtybird 2016, where Billy Kenny laid down a groovy mix.
On SoundCloud Billy said,
“This ish actually made me cry and you can hear it at the end of the set. Oops! I have a huge place in my heart for Prince and have from such a young age thanks to my Mother and everyone in that crowd put just as much heart and soul into dancing as I did mixing. I can’t thank you enough for the most enjoyable and emotional set of my life. Thank you Dirtybird family!”
It’s still one of my favorite sets to date, full of incredible tunes. Check out the tracklist below:
