FKi 1st is an accomplished producer and emerging artist touching the tastemaker music scene, infusing Atlanta trap with melodic instrumentation. His early releases include Platinum and Gold records like Iggy Azalea’s “Work”, and Travis Porter’s “Bring It Back” & ”Make It Rain”. Currently his hit records include the Billboard Hot 100 charting singles “White Iverson” from newcomer Post Malone & “Watch Out” from 2 Chainz.
FKi 1st discovered artist Post Malone, and produced the now platinum Billboard Hot 100 song “White Iverson.” The song become an instant viral hit and gained over 1 million plays on Soundcloud within 1 month, leading to a major label bidding war for Post and signing a record deal with Universal Republic. Other notable placements include Young Dro “FDB,” Travis Scott “Drugs” & “Sloppy Toppy,” Jeremih ft. Lil Wayne & Natasha Mosley “All The Time,” Ty Dolla Sign “Issues,” Rich Homie Quan ft. Young Thug “Get TF Out My Face,” “I Can Tell Off” off Travis Scott’s Rodeo, and “Weekend” featuring Miguel off Mac Miller’s GO:OD AM album.
In 2015, FKi 1st also began rising in the club and festival scene. He played at Trap City in San Francisco, as well as multiple other DJ sets in LA and Toronto like Low End Theory, Camp Trill (Soulection/Brownies & Lemonade), Mad Decent Block Party LA, Trillectro and more. Billboard Magazine honored FKi as one of the “Top 5 Producers shifting the sound of Atlanta Rap in 2014.” FKi has been featured regularly on top music blogs such as Complex, The Fader, Hypetrak, Vibe, and XXL.
FKi stands for Fuckin Kickin It and started as an Atlanta based production team. Their sound was first heard heavily on their mixtape Transformers In The Hood. TNTH was presented by international DJ and Mad Decent curator, Diplo, garnered much deserved attention from electronic, hip-hop, and trap music followers throughout the US and abroad. The vast variety in genre caught the attention of top DJ’s like Flosstradamus, Kaskade, Borgore, DJ Sliink, and Flux Pavilion which led to collaborations with FKi.
Up next, FKi 1st will release his debut album First Time for Everything thru Mad Decent in Spring 2016. He recently kicked off hip-hop month with his “Diplo & Friends” mix on BBC Radio 1, and opened with a DJ set for Post Malone & Fetty Wap on the Welcome to the Zoo Tour. He is currently on tour with Justin Bieber and Post Malone.
