YetepThe German producer and DJ Robin Shultz was born in 1987. Shultz recently rose to prominence as the DJ who re-mixed the smash hit single for Lilly Wood & the Prick, “Prayer in C,” but Robin Shultz has also recently released his own debut single, “Waves,” which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
Robin Schulz started his DJ career while he was still a teenager. Within just a few years, barely into his twenties, he was the owner of his own nightclub and producing music. Known for an upbeat pop-house sound, Shultz began posting tracks to YouTube and scoring millions of hits. By 2013, Robin was recording and producing his own music, and preparing to launch his own solo career with a debut album.
Schulz’s debut, Prayer, arrived in 2014 and on the strength of the hit song “Waves,” became an instant hit. The single topped the charts internationally, reaching into the top five in Italy, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, and Hungary. Additional hit singles from the album include: “Willst Du” (with Alligatoah); “Sun Goes Down” (with Jasmine Thompson); and “Headlights” (with Ilsey.)
Robin Schulz is a star on the rise and definitely one to watch in the coming years. Currently, Schulz is working on a number of projects both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other artists.
