Avicii X You Session Two: Drop Your Bassline!

Avicii has laid out Session #2 for his music collaboration project: Avicii X You.  This time, he is looking for potential collaborators to drop their basslines.

Avicii X You is the world’s largest music collaboration project, created by Swedish DJ/producer, Tim Berg, better known as Avicii.   The challenge provides an opportunity for fans, producers, DJs–potential collaborators—to download the music that Berg will provide in sessions to acquire all the different song components for his next single.

In Session #1, contestants were asked to submit their own melody.  This time around, Avicii has created a rough bassline to start from or use as inspiration.  This opens the option for participants to play around with Avicii’s sample or creatively come up with something fresh of their own to submit!

Submissions for basslines are due by Wednesday, January 23, at which point submissions for Session #3: the beat and rhythm will open!  Time to get cracking and get creative with those contributions!

According to the Avicii X You website, there are 3,212 artists involved hailing from 140 different countries.  Stay tuned for an update on Session #3 and refer back to the Avicii X You site online for more information on upcoming submission dates and downloads.
